Nitro Construction Services was responsible for the electrical and instrumentation installation for a new 790MW coal fired power plant in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The scope of work included the installation of the 13.8KV incoming power, transformers and switchgear. We were also responsible for the grounding and site electrical installation. Nitro installed the power distribution, MCCs, controls cabling, cable tray and DCS systems for the plant. Our scope also included the installation of all instruments, air tubing and process tubing connections. We performed the calibration for the instruments and assisted with start-up and commissioning of the unit.
